Wood Sulptures
|
Kenneth Lund’s first formal training in art began in the 7th grade and continues on to this day. Through his education and experience, Ken has honed his skills of sculpting, casting, and making molds, allowing him to create beautiful sculptures.
“My unique sculptures are created with the utmost quality materials. Each piece begins with the form of subtle shapes and then is further defined with sculptor’s clay. Once completed the shell is strengthened from the inside out with resin, to insure long lasting, durable pieces. The wood is finally finished with several layers of wax, making them easy to clean and refresh. Those that I paint have many layers of glazes and tints in opaque, metallic, and pearl.” Recently, Ken has studied fine art and graphic design at Salt Lake Community College. He had the privilege of studying under: Rob Adamson, Rick Graham, George William Allen, and Frank Erickson. |
